5280 Delivery

Terms of Service

Effective September 4, 2026

These terms govern your use of 5280delivery.com and the courier and delivery services provided by 5280 Delivery (“we,” “us”). By requesting a quote, booking a delivery, or using the site, you agree to them. If you are booking on behalf of a business, you confirm that you are authorized to do so.

Quotes and bookings

Submitting a quote request is not a booking. A dispatcher reviews each request and confirms the price, the pickup window, and the vehicle before a delivery is scheduled. A delivery is booked once we confirm it and you accept the confirmed terms. Quotes are based on the information you provide. If the load, route, timing, or access conditions differ from what was described, the price may change, and we will tell you before proceeding whenever we can.

Pricing and payment

Pricing depends on route, load, timing, and the vehicle class the job requires. Waiting time, additional stops, failed delivery attempts caused by inaccurate information or an unavailable recipient, and after-hours or special-handling requests may carry additional charges, which dispatch will confirm. Business accounts are invoiced under the terms agreed for the account. Amounts not paid when due may be subject to late fees and collection costs as permitted by law.

Cancellations and changes

You may cancel or change a delivery by contacting dispatch. Cancellations made after a driver has been dispatched, and changes that add distance, time, or handling, may be charged for the work already performed.

Your responsibilities

  • Provide accurate pickup and delivery details, contact names, and access instructions.
  • Package items so they can travel safely in the vehicle class booked.
  • Make sure someone is available to release and receive the shipment, or give us clear instructions for an unattended handoff.
  • Confirm that you have the right to ship the items and that they are lawful to transport.

Items we do not carry

We do not transport hazardous materials, illegal items, weapons, cash or bearer instruments, live animals, human remains, or any item that requires a permit, license, or handling certification we do not hold. If you are unsure whether an item is in scope, ask dispatch before booking. We may decline any shipment at our discretion.

Delivery and proof

A delivery is complete when the shipment is handed to the recipient or left according to your instructions. We confirm completion and keep a record of who received it, when, and where. Where you authorize an unattended drop, responsibility for the shipment passes to you at the time it is left.

Delays

We quote realistic timing and plan around Denver conditions, but weather, traffic, road closures, site access problems, and other events outside our control can delay a delivery. We are not responsible for losses caused by delays from events beyond our reasonable control.

Loss, damage, and claims

We handle every shipment with care. Report any loss or damage to us in writing as soon as you become aware of it, and no later than two business days after delivery, so we can investigate while the facts are fresh. Unless we have agreed to a declared value in writing before pickup, our liability for loss of or damage to a shipment is limited to the amount stated in your booking confirmation or, if none is stated, to the delivery charge for that shipment. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits or downtime. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Colorado law.
